Handjive is a casual game based on the unique concept of taking photographs of your hand to match specific shapes.
Handjive offers two main modes of play: Arcade mode and Kata mode.
In the Arcade mode the player must take a photograph that matches the specified shape to a specified level of accuracy within a time limit.
Points are awarded based on accuracy, speed and the current level.
The difficulty of the game is increased by adjusting the required level of accuracy and increasing the complexity of the shapes. The Kata mode of play is based on the concept of Katas (or forms) in martial arts. Each level consists of a preset sequence of shapes.
In Kata mode photographs are taken automatically at a certain time interval (from 15 to 3 seconds). Therefore the player must incorporate rhythmic timing to succeed.
The difficulty is increased by increasing the number and complexity of shapes, increasing the required level of accuracy and reducing the time between each shape.
The players is awarded “belts” for completing levels until they eventually reach black belt status.
Winning “belts” unlocks additional minigame and toy levels. Availability:Currently under development, it is targetting high end camera phones. |
