Smoco is a software development company that specialises in the development of Java Micro Edition (ME) applications and mobile web solutions. According to Sun Microsystems Java ME is "... the most ubiquitous platform for mobile devices across the globe". Smoco have developed games and applications for the Java ME platform; both to our own specifications and to client specifications. The mobile web simply refers to web sites that are aimed at mobile devices such as mobile phones and personal digital assistants. As these devices become more ubiquitous and wireless network speeds increase mobile web browsing is becoming increasingly common. Smoco specialise in mobile web solutions based on open standards as well as the integration of mobile devices with existing web sites. Smoco is based in Perth, Western Australia but we have experience working on projects remotely with interstate and international clients.
